Overview
Meritto offer seamless integration with 25 different Payment Gateways (PGs) to facilitate the collection of various types of fees from applicants. In addition to these PG integrations, Meritto also supports integration with Collexo, enabling institutions to collect application fees through Partwise Forms and token fees through all types of forms.
For Collexo integration, it is essential to first complete all necessary configurations directly on the Collexo platform. Once that is done, only minimal configuration is required within Meritto to establish a successful handshake between the two platforms.
In today’s newsletter, you will learn about Collexo Integration on Meritto.
Prerequisites
- The user should have access to the Meritto portal.
- The user should have permission to view the “Manage Account” functionality.
- The user should have permission to make changes to the account-level configuration.
- The user should have permission to create a fee on the “Fee Manager” page.
Steps to Integrate
After completing the above prerequisites, please proceed with the following steps to enable and configure Collexo as a Payment Gateway (PG) within Meritto:
Enable Collexo in Payment Configuration:
Enable Collexo in Payment Configuration:
- Navigate to Manage Account.
- Click on Configuration, then go to Payment Configuration.
- From the available list of Payment Gateways, locate and enable “Collexo”.

Add Fields to Be Sent to Collexo - Once Collexo is configured, you need to proceed to configure the applicant data fields to be shared. In order to do so, click on the add button, which appears on the extreme right.
A sidebar titled “Payment Custom Fields” will appear, displaying a dropdown menu containing all custom fields mapped with a machine key. Select the desired fields that need to be sent to Collexo (e.g., Applicant Name, ID). For each selected field, provide an appropriate field alias name as expected by Collexo. Once done, click Save to apply the configuration.
Note: In the “Payment Custom Fields” sidebar, you can add up to 10 custom fields that are mapped to a machine key.Why Add Fields is required in Collexo Integration?
Problem Statement:
During routine payment reconciliation, many clients expressed the need to access additional applicant details alongside payment records. While this functionality was already supported for most payment gateways, it was previously unavailable for accounts integrated with Collexo on Meritto.
What’s New:
To address this gap, we've introduced a significant enhancement. Based on client requests, Meritto can now send up to 10 applicant-specific details to the Payment Gateway for Collexo-integrated accounts as well.
Impact:
This update greatly improves data visibility during reconciliation, enabling institutions to match payments with applicant information more efficiently and accurately—ultimately enhancing the overall reconciliation experience.
- Configure the Fee Structure - Now once the above is done, set up the payment details within Meritto and Collexo. In order to do so you need to navigate to “Fee Manager” and click on “Configure Fees”. Select Collexo in the configuration and fill up the other relevant fields.

- Applicant Payment Flow - Once all configurations are in place, the applicant experience will proceed as follows:
- The applicant clicks on “Make Payment” on the Meritto platform.
- They are redirected to the Collexo checkout page.
- All previously configured data fields are passed to Collexo.
- Collexo then forwards this data to the designated Payment Gateway for final payment processing.
Note: Apart from the configuration changes, the rest of the process remains consistent with the existing PG integration flow.
Conclusion
With these enhancements, Meritto empowers you to manage automations with greater visibility, fairness, and performance control. Plan-based limits, improved UI, and node caps ensure your automations remain scalable, efficient, and aligned with your subscription—helping you build smarter workflows without compromising system integrity.
