Introducing Process TAT | How to Guide

Summary

Managing applications across multiple stages is complex, but until now, there's been no standardized way to measure how long each process actually takes. Process TAT (Turnaround Time) changes that. It lets admins define a start and end stage within their application workflow and automatically calculates the time taken to move between them, giving institutions a reliable, consistent time metric to identify delays and improve efficiency.

What's New

Process TAT is a new configuration available under Account Setup. Admins can define up to 10 TAT processes per account, each tracking the time an application takes to move from a defined Start Stage to an End Stage.
Key highlights:
  1. Supports single or multiple forms — or all forms at once
  2. Handles parent and sub-stage relationships clearly
  3. TAT is calculated once — the moment the End stage is reached for the first time. It is then stored permanently and never recalculated
  4. If the End stage is never reached, the TAT remains blank

Key Benefits

  1. Spot bottlenecks instantly — see which processes are taking longer than expected
  2. Compare journeys across forms — filter and sort applications by turnaround time
  3. Consistent, tamper-proof data — once calculated, TAT values are immutable and reused across columns, filters, and exports

How It Works

  1. Configure a Process Go to Account SetupProcess TAT and create a new process. You'll need to:
    1. Give it a unique Process Name
    2. Select the forms it applies to (defaults to all forms)
    3. Choose a Start Application Stage and an End Application Stage (they cannot be the same)
  2. System Calculates TAT Automatically Once an application reaches the End stage for the first time after the Start stage, the system captures the time difference and stores it, no manual input needed.
  3. View & Analyse
    1. TAT values appear as separate columns on the application listing, labelled as <Process Name> (Process TAT)
    2. Display format: under 24 hours shows as 12h; 24 hours or more shows as 1d 00h; under an hour shows as Less than an hour
    3. Use Advanced Filters to segment applications by TAT status — filter by Equal, Less Than, Greater Than, Between, Completed, or Not Completed

Use Cases

  1. Define a TAT from Application Submitted to Documents Verified to understand how long document review takes across your intake cycle.
  2. Track time from Counselling Done to Fee Paid to identify where prospective students are dropping off or stalling.

Getting Started

Process TAT is available now under Account Setup. Admin users can access it directly — no additional setup required.
💡 Look for the NEW badge next to Process TAT in your Account Setup navigation to find it quickly.
