This article explains how to initiate Telephony calls to leads or applicants using the Meritto Android Mobile App. You can seamlessly make calls through the configured Telephony vendor, ensuring an integrated and efficient calling experience.
Available for: Institutions with Telephony Calling configured.
You should have the Meritto Android Mobile App (v3.0.0 or higher) and should be logged in with your registered email and password.
Calls will be placed via the configured Telephony vendor.
When tapping the Call icon on a Lead or Application profile or listing screen, the “Click to Call” API is triggered instead of opening the device’s dialer.
Calls function as they do on the Web version of Meritto.
What happens if you dial manually using the phone’s dialer?
A normal phone call will be placed without Telephony Calling integration.
Telephony Calling only works when calling via the profile or listing screen Call icon.
When tapping the Call icon, a pop-up appears asking you to choose between:

Telephony Calling
What happens if you manually dial a number?
The “Add Lead / View Profile” pop-up appears.
The call will be treated as an Outbound In-App call.
Calls made from a Lead Profile Page are routed to the Telephony vendor.
The vendor initiates the call to the counselor from a random available number.
Once the counselor picks up, the call is connected to the lead.
Note: If calling from the Lead Profile page, no pop-up will appear (since you are already on the profile page).Once the call ends, callback details from the Telephony vendor sync automatically with the app.
Call logs and reports update in real-time.
