WhatsApp Notification & Email Updates
Overview
We’ve introduced a new feature that keeps you instantly updated about all important WhatsApp Business (WABA) changes directly through Email, in-app CRM notifications, and mobile push alerts.
Earlier, counsellors or admins had to log in to Meta’s portal again and again to check:
- Whether a WhatsApp template was approved, rejected, or paused
- Whether their WhatsApp Business phone number’s messaging limit had increased or decreased
This manual checking often caused delays, missed updates, and confusion.
Now, all of these updates will reach you automatically the moment Meta takes any action.
Why This Matters
Managing WhatsApp communication without real-time updates is difficult. A single missed approval or limit change can disrupt messaging to students.
With this enhancement:
- You get instant visibility on every template approval, rejection, or pause
- You receive alerts the moment your messaging limit goes up or down
- No need to visit Meta’s portal repeatedly
- Counsellors and admins can take faster decisions
- Your WhatsApp communication always stays compliant, smooth, and up to date

How It Works
1. Enable the WABA Connector
This feature becomes active once the institute’s WhatsApp Business (WABA) Connector is enabled.
2. Turn On Zing Notifications
Inside Zing Configuration → Communication, you will see two new settings:
- WhatsApp Template Status Updates
- WhatsApp Phone Number Updates
You can choose whether these alerts should come through:
- Web notification
- Mobile push notifications
- Email updates
Even if Zing is not configured, CRM will still send the notifications through its default system.
3. Receive Notifications Automatically
Once set up, updates will be delivered via:
- CRM Web Notifications
- Mobile App Push Alerts
- Email (via Zing Email Service)
You don’t have to check anything manually; updates simply come to you.
Who Gets These Notifications?
- Admin Users receive all updates by default, both template-related and phone-number-related.
- Other Users receive notifications only for templates they have created or those assigned to them.
This ensures the right people get the right information at the right time.

“Your WhatsApp template ‘Event Reminder’ was rejected by Meta due to low quality.”
Phone Number Limit Update
“Your WhatsApp Business Number’s messaging limit has increased from 1K to 10K messages.”
