Overview

API Logs provide a detailed record of all interactions between Meritto and external systems or vendors. These logs offer critical insights into API requests, responses, errors, and performance metrics. By analyzing API logs,you can troubleshoot errors, optimize API performance, and ensure seamless integrations.

Plan & Permissions

  • Available for: Entities using API integrations to connect Meritto with external systems.

  • Permissions Required:

    • Navigate to Module-wise Settings > Report & Analytics > API / Integration Logs to enable access.

    • You must have View API Logs permission enabled in your role settings.

InfoImportant: Only users with the necessary permission can view or analyze API logs.

Core Functionalities

Accessing API Logs

To view API logs:

  1. Log in to your Meritto account.

  2. Navigate to Report & Analytics from the main menu.

  3. Select API Logs to open the API log management page.

Viewing API Logs

After accessing the API Logs page:

  1. Click on the Filter Icon in the top-right corner.

  2. Under Select Type, choose Connector.

  3. Click on any API/Vendor line item to open the detailed API log page.

  4. The log will display API interactions for the last 10 days by default.

Filtering API Logs

To refine API log data:

  1. Click on the Filter Icon again.

  2. Under Select Status, choose Fail to identify failed API interactions.

  3. Apply additional date filters to narrow down logs to a specific timeframe (e.g., “Today” or a custom date range).

Analyzing API Errors

To view detailed information about an API error:

  1. After applying the Fail filter, locate the error entry.

  2. Click on the Eyeball Icon to view in-depth information, including:

    • Error Description: Explanation of what caused the error.
    • Payload Data: API request and response details for further analysis.
