Connecting Facebook Lead Ad Form with Meritto

Connecting Facebook Lead Ad Form with Meritto

Introduction

Facebook Ads (also known as Instant Forms) provide a seamless way for users to express interest in your offerings by submitting a form directly on Facebook or Instagram, without ever having to leave the platform. These forms are widely used by marketers to reduce friction in lead capture.

With Meritto, you can automate the ingestion of these leads, streamline lead management, and track their journey through application and enrollment, making your marketing efforts more efficient and measurable. It enables you to track all your leads from Facebook in real time by syncing your Facebook LeadGen forms with Meritto. This eliminates the need to repeatedly download CSV files from Facebook and manually upload them to Meritto.

Pre-requisites for Integration

Before proceeding, ensure the following:

  1. You have a Facebook  Business Manager account.

  2. You have Admin access to the Facebook Page that is running the Lead Ad.

  3. You have created Lead Forms (Instant Forms) on the desired Facebook page.

  4. You are logged in to Meritto with an account having the necessary integration permissions.

How to Connect Facebook Lead Ads with Meritto CRM

Step-by-Step Integration Guide

Step 1: Navigate to Extensions in Meritto

  • Go to Settings > Extensions.

  • Under the Ads Integrations section, select Facebook Lead Ad > Manage Accounts.

Step 2: Connect Your Facebook Account

  • Click on Connect with Facebook.
  • Log in using your Facebook credentials.
  • Grant all requested permissions (including access to forms and page details).
  • Stay logged in to ensure seamless syncing.

Step 3: Select Your Facebook Page

  • Choose the Facebook page(s) for which you have created lead forms.
  • Click Next to proceed.

Step 4: Map Facebook Lead Forms to Meritto CRM

  • Click on the gear icon under Actions to start mapping.
  • Select the desired Facebook Lead Form.
  • Map each form field (e.g., Full Name, Mobile Number) to the corresponding Meritto Registration Field.
  • If you do not wish to import a field, select Do not Import from the dropdown.

Step 5: Set Source / Medium / Campaign (Optional)

  • By default, Source = Facebook, Medium = Lead Ad.
These values can either be hard-mapped (manually fixed) or dynamically captured from the webhook response to enable more granular tracking..

Dynamic Campaign Tracking

When a single Lead Form is used across multiple campaigns (e.g., Campaign A and Campaign B), Meritto will automatically capture and assign the correct campaign information based on the incoming lead data. In this case, the medium and campaign fields are not mapped in the field mapping page.  For example:
  1. Facebook / FormA / CampaignA
  2. Facebook / FormA / CampaignB
This is achieved by leveraging the LeadGen ID and Form ID to extract values from the webhook, where:
  1. Medium is derived from the ad_name parameter.
  2. Campaign is derived from the campaign_name parameter.
This approach eliminates the need to create duplicate forms for each campaign and provides more accurate, campaign-level attribution for every lead.

Step 6: Configure Default Field Values (Optional)

If your form doesn’t ask for specific fields (e.g., Course), you can assign default values.
Use Case: If you're only running a form for MBA leads, you can set Course = MBA by default, even if the form doesn’t ask the lead for this information.

Step 7: Save & Test

  • After mapping fields, click Save.
  • You’ll see a success confirmation.

To test the Integration:

  1. Visit the Facebook Lead Ad Testing Tool.
  2. Select the Facebook Page and Form.
  3. Submit a test lead.
  4. Confirm that the lead appears in Meritto’s Lead Manager in real time.

Adding Multiple Facebook Accounts

You can integrate up to 20 Facebook accounts with Meritto. The integration steps remain the same for each account. This allows large teams or multi-brand institutions to manage all lead flows from a single CRM interface.

Conclusion

Connecting your Facebook Lead Ads with Meritto not only streamlines lead capture but also empowers you with tools for precise tracking, intelligent mapping, and efficient lead nurturing. By integrating seamlessly, you can bridge the gap between ad spend and actual enrollment conversion, maximizing your marketing ROI.
