Avoid excessive messaging to prevent complaints.
Meta evaluates phone numbers to determine whether to increase messaging limits beyond 1,000/day. Your limit may be automatically increased if:
Your phone number remains active and connected.
Your quality rating is medium or high.
You initiate at least 50% of your current messaging limit in the past 7 days.
You maintain an 80% open rate over a rolling 7-day period.
For example:
If your limit is 1,000/day and you initiate 500+ conversations within two days, your limit may increase to 10,000 after 24 hours.
If the 500th conversation is initiated at 3 PM, the new limit is applied at 3 PM the next day.
If you reach your limit, new business-initiated conversations will be paused until existing conversations close.
Check your messaging tier in Meta Business Manager to track your limit.
