Steps to enable Zing Notifications on Different Browsers

Overview

Zing is Meritto’s real-time notification engine that helps your sales team act on leads instantly. This guide helps you enable Zing notifications across commonly used browsers including Microsoft Edge, Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, and Mac OS system-level settings.

NotesNote: Ensure Zing is already enabled for users and entities before configuring browser settings.

Step-by-Step Instructions

Microsoft Edge

1. Manage System Notifications

  1. Go to Settings > System > Notifications & actions.

  2. Locate Microsoft Edge in the app list.

  3. Ensure notifications are turned ON.

2. Enable Site Notifications

  1. Click on the View Site Information(lock icon) on the left side of the search bar.

  2. Ensure notifications are Allowed.

    • If blocked, change the setting to Ask or Allow.

3. Enable Browser Notification (Zing Bell Icon)

  1. Click the bell icon on the right side of the search bar in Lead Manager.

  2. Enable notifications for this site.

If the pop-up doesn’t appear:

  • To enable notifications and pop-ups, go to View Site > Permissions for the site> Cookies and Site Information > Meritto site. 

  • Then allow 'Pop-ups and redirects' and 'Notifications'.

Google Chrome

1. Manage System Notifications

  1. Go to Settings > System > Notifications & actions.

  2. Locate Google Chrome and enable notifications.

2. Enable Site Notifications

  1. When you enter Lead Manager after enabling Zing, a pop-up will ask for notification access. 

  2. Click "Allow" and enable "Show notifications" for the site.

If the pop-up doesn’t appear:

  1. To enable pop-ups, go to View Site > Site Settings> Meritto site. 

  2. Then allow 'Pop-ups and redirects' and 'Notifications'.

Mozilla Firefox

1. Manage System Notifications

  1. Go to Settings > System > Notifications & actions.

  2. Find and select Mozilla Firefox.

  3. Ensure that notifications are turned ON.

  4. Find Mozilla Firefox from notifications and actions and ensure that notifications are on.

2. Enable Site Notifications

  1. After enabling notifications, ensure site notifications are on by clicking the chat icon present at the left edge of the search bar.

If the pop-up doesn’t appear:

  1. Click Open Application Menu > Settings > Privacy & Security.

  2. Uncheck Block pop-up windows.

  3. Click the Settings button under Notifications.

  4. Ensure Meritto site is listed and set to Allow.

Mac OS (System Notification Settings)

1. Enable Notifications for the Browser

  1. Go to Settings > System > Notifications & actions.

  2. Find and select the browser you’re using (Chrome, Firefox, or Edge).

  3. Click on the browser and ensure that notifications are enabled.
