Configuring the Student Admission Portal (Applicant Flow Configuration)
Overview
The Student Admission Portal serves as a centralized platform that applicants can access upon registering or logging in via the registration page. It is designed to streamline the entire admission process by offering a user-friendly interface where applicants can manage various aspects of their application journey.
To enable a seamless experience, specific configurations are required to set up the portal effectively. These configurations ensure that all key features are functional and aligned with the institution's enrollment workflow.
Once configured, the portal allows applicants to:
- Access and apply to available application forms
- Track application status and monitor payments
- Raise and follow up on queries
- View all communications shared by the institution
- Perform post-application activities necessary for enrollment
This article outlines the essential steps and settings needed to configure the Student Admission Portal, ensuring a smooth and personalized experience for every applicant from registration to final enrollment.
Plan & Permissions:
- User must be having Applicant Flow Configuration permission
- Student Admission Portal would be only available for the accounts who have subscribed for Application Automation Platform
Capabilities
- Show students what matters, when it matters - Now you can customize the top and bottom banners on the portal for messaging and branding to highlight important updates, instructions, or promotions right when students need them. These banners ensure your key messages are front and center, keeping students informed, engaged, and moving smoothly through the enrollment process.
- Welcome, and guide students every step of the way - Greet students with a personalized welcome message that makes a great first impression. And, “The enrollment journey view” on the portal gives students a clear, step-by-step overview of the entire admission process, from form submission to payment, document verification, and interviews. This intuitive layout answers the common “what’s next” question, helping students stay on track, avoid missing any steps, and complete the process faster and with confidence.

Student Admission Portal(v3.0) Settings
Global Configuration
Setting | Description |
Navigation Panel Tab | It allows users to define the tabs which would be displayed over the navigation panel for easier portal browsing. |
Enable Timer | Enables a timer to track activity duration or session. |
Disable Meritto Branding | If enabled, hides Meritto branding on the portal. |
Disallow user to make changes in SAP | Prevents users from making changes in SAP integration. |
Enrolment Journey | Displays the journey or steps in the enrollment process. |
Social Media Links | Shows social media links on the portal. |
Disable Notification | Turns off system notifications for the applicant. |
Navigation Panel Tab
- Add a Navigation and Sorting Number at the bottom of the panel.
- Enter the Title and the Redirect URL to set the link destination.
Enable Timer

- Set the Timer Start Date and End Date.
- Enter the Content to be displayed on the timer.
- Select the Timer Placement - either Floating or Top Strip.
- Choose a Background Colour for the timer.
Enrollment Journey

- Select the Template Name (for example, Form Initiated, Form Completed, etc.).
- Choose the Forms to display on the dashboard (multiple forms can be selected).
- Set the Sort Order for how these forms will appear.
- Configure Conditions to define when a particular enrollment journey will be marked as complete.
Social Media Links
Configure all social media URLs.
Dashboard Page Configuration
Setting | Description |
Welcome Screen Message | It allows users to define the welcome message on the dashboard screen. |
Enable Below Screen Banner | Displays an additional banner below the dashboard screen. |
Enable Top Screen Banner | Shows a top banner on the dashboard (if enabled). |
Email Unverified Banner | Displays a verification banner when an applicant's email is unverified. |
Welcome Screen Message
- Set Dashboard Heading: Enter the title you want to display on the dashboard.
- Configure Welcome Content: Add the text or message to be shown on the welcome screen.
Enable Top Screen Banner
- Select Banner Type: Choose whether to display an image or text banner.

- If Image : Add the banner for both Desktop and Mobile versions.

- If Text: Add the banner content to display.
Enable Below Screen Banner
- Select Block Alignment: Choose how the blocks will be aligned on the bottom of the screen.
- Enter Block Content: Add the specific content to display in the blocks.
Profile Page Configuration

Disallow Applicant to Edit Profile | Allows applicants to edit their profile. |
Disable Alternate Mobile No. | Prevents input or visibility of alternate mobile numbers. |
Hide All Other Form | If enabled, hides all other forms on the profile page. |
Show Preview at Each Stage | If enabled, allows applicants to preview their application at each stage. |
Fastrack to Form | It allows users to directly land inside the particular form when any applicant is accessing the portal via form slug. |

Alignment of Navigation Panel | Applies a vertical layout for the navigation panel (not applicable on mobile devices). |
Header Color | Applied to the page header background. |
Left Navigation Panel Color | Applied where all menu items are located on the left panel. |
Footer Color | Applied to the bottom section of the page. |
Primary Color | Used on interactive elements like buttons and selected states. |
Secondary Color | Serves as the default text color. |
Tertiary Color | Specifically used for the enrollment journey visuals. |
