Master Data in Meritto helps maintain structured and organized information for efficient data handling.
Data Creation: Set up and manage Master Data seamlessly.
Permission-Based Access: Ensure only authorized users can create and modify data.
Efficient Management: Add and update values easily to maintain accuracy.
This ensures streamlined data organization and effective management within the system.
Before proceeding, ensure you have the necessary permissions to create Master Data. Follow these steps to verify access:
Log in to your Meritto Account.
Expand the Menu and locate FormDesk.
Expand FormDesk and select Manage Master Data.
If you can see the Create button in the Master Data Listing page, you have the required permissions.
If you do not see any of these options, contact your Customer Success Manager for assistance.
Once you have access to Manage Master Data, follow these steps:
Navigate to Manage Master Data.
Click the Create button in the top-right corner and a Create Master Data form will open.
Enter a Master Data Title (e.g., "List of Schools") for easy identification.
Provide a Description explaining the purpose of this Master Data.
Upload Master Data Values via a CSV file:
Download the Sample CSV file.
Populate it with appropriate values.
Upload the completed CSV file.
Enable the Show/Hide in all forms and widgets toggle if you want this data to reflect across all forms and widgets.
Click Save to finalize the Master Data creation.

Note:
The Sample CSV includes columns for both Master Data Value ID and Values.
Leave the ID field blank for new Master Data Values.
If adding new values under an existing Master Data, ensure you include the appropriate ID to prevent duplication.
If you need to add values under an existing Master Data (e.g., adding "Civil Engineering" under "DemoData1"), follow these steps:
Search for the Master Data Value (e.g., "DemoData1") from the Listing Page.
Click on the search result to navigate to the relevant parent.
Select the Action menu for the parent entry and click Add Values.
A pop-up window will appear; enter the new values.
Click Save to update the Master Data.
