The Exam Ecosystem in Meritto facilitates a seamless process for exam scheduling, rescheduling, retakes, admit card generation, and scorecard downloads within the Student Admission Portal. By integrating with third-party exam partners such as Mettl, Pearson VUE, and others, Meritto ensures a unified and automated experience for both you and students. This system enables you to assess candidate competency through various evaluation methods, such as written exams, group discussions (GD), and personal interviews (PI).
Exam Integration provides a streamlined process that:
Automates Exam Management: Allows students to schedule, reschedule, or attempt exams.
Facilitates SSO: Ensures smooth navigation between the Meritto portal and the exam partner platform.
Enables API Communication: Transfers relevant data (Demographic & Exam Information) between Meritto and exam partners.
Once a student becomes eligible for the exam:
Demographic Data (DD): Transfers information such as Name, Application Number, and Location.
Exam Information (EI): Transfers details such as Exam Name, Slot Availability, and Attempt Number.
Students see the "Book Exam Slot" option on their dashboard.
Clicking on this option redirects them to the exam portal through SSO, where they can select the desired Date, Time, and/or Venue (for offline exams).
After slot booking:
The exam partner sends slot-related information (Date, Time, Venue) to Meritto via the Modify Appointment API.
Students can download the Admit Card with updated slot information from their portal.
If a student cannot appear for the exam:
They can reschedule within a defined timeframe (e.g., 72 hours before the scheduled exam).
Reschedule Option: Visible on the student’s dashboard with configurable rescheduling fees.
On selecting Reschedule Exam, the student is redirected to the exam portal through SSO to modify the slot.
Updated slot details are pushed back to Meritto via the Modify Appointment API, reflecting changes on the Admit Card.
To facilitate multiple attempts:
You can define:
Number of Retake Attempts: Number of reattempts permitted.
Trigger Point: When the retake option becomes available.
Dynamic Fees: Configurable fees for each attempt.
Students can see the Exam Retake option on their dashboard.
Real-time APIs communicate candidate authorization to exam partners, enabling slot booking and retake attempts.
After the exam is attempted:
The exam partner shares result-related information (such as Marks Obtained and Total Marks) with Meritto via the Result Notification API.
Students can download the Scorecard reflecting their results from the portal.
