Segments allow you to categorize leads based on defined criteria, ensuring that your messages reach the right audience. This is particularly useful for sending regular updates, reminders, or personalized communications to different groupssuch as those who have started an application but not submitted it, applicants who have completed payments, or those requiring follow-ups.
This guide provides step-by-step instructions on creating a segment and sending targeted communications, helping you manage outreach effectively.

Step-by-Step Guide to Send Communication to a Specific Set of Leads (Segment)?

Creating a Segment


  1. Navigate to Marketing > Manage List.
  2. Click on the  Filter button in the top-right corner to select the Institute for which you want to create a segment.
  3. View the existing segments created under the selected institute.
  4. Click on   Action > Create Segment.
  5. A Create Segment pop-up window will appear.
  6. Define the required conditions to create a segment of leads or applications.
  7. Click  Submit to finalize the segment.

Sending Communication to a Segment


  1. Navigate to Marketing > Manage Segments.
  2. Select the Segment containing the leads/applications you want to communicate with.
  3. Choose the specific leads within the segment.
  4. Click on the  Action button and select Send Email or Send SMS, and a form will appear.
  5. Compose your message and click Send Now to initiate communication.

Points to Keep in Mind

  1. Segment not appearing? Ensure you have selected the correct institute.
  2. Message not sent? Verify user permissions and segment conditions.
  3. Incorrect recipients? Double-check filters applied while creating the segment.
