Objective and Process of White Labelling
Overview
White Labelling in Meritto allows you to use your institution’s subdomain (e.g., https://admission.abc.ac.in) instead of the default Meritto domain (https://abc.meritto.com) for hosting inquiry and application forms. This enhances credibility and provides a seamless application experience for users.
Objective
Currently, once the applicant comes to our website and clicks on Apply Now, they are redirected to our landing page which is hosted on Meritto (https://abc.meritto.com).
Since the applicants will also be making payment for their application at this URL, it might be a concern for some applicants once they are redirected to a third-party URL. Once we enable the White labelled solution this URL will be updated to the new link as per the subdomain (https://admission.abc.ac.in)
The idea is to ensure once the applicant lands on the Application Registration page, they should get a feeling that they are on the University page only and not on any third-party platform. Thus, adding a lot more credibility to the system & this also enables the applicant to seamlessly apply.
White Labelling helps you optimize your marketing activities when you wish to redirect users to your domain.
Business Relevance
Enhances Trust & Credibility: Applicants see the institution’s domain rather than a third-party URL when making payments and filling out forms.
Seamless User Experience: Applicants remain on the institution’s website throughout their journey.
Marketing Optimization: Redirection of users to the institution’s domain improves engagement and conversion rates.
Process of White Labelling
1. Share the Subdomain Details
- Provide the subdomain (e.g., https://admission.abc.ac.in) where you want to host your inquiry or application page.
2. Receive CNAME Records
- Meritto will share the required CNAME records based on the provided subdomain.
3. Update DNS Settings
- Add the provided CNAME records in the DNS server of your institution’s domain.
4. Mapping the Subdomain
- Once the CNAME changes are completed, Meritto will map the subdomain to the application, making it fully functional.
Conclusion
White Labelling enhances the applicant’s experience by ensuring they interact with your institution’s brand throughout the application process. Following the outlined steps will allow you to seamlessly integrate Meritto’s application system with your institution’s domain.
