How To View Permission?

Overview

Viewing Permissions in Meritto helps manage access control by allowing users to check assigned roles and permissions.

  • Access Overview: View permissions assigned to different users.

  • Role Management: Understand and track role allocations within the system.

  • Seamless Control: Ensure appropriate access for efficient user management.

This feature enhances security and streamlines permission management within the system.

Plan & Permissions

  • Ensure you have access to Manage Permission in Meritto.

  • Necessary permissions to view and manage permissions.

  1. Log in to your Meritto account.

  2. Click on the Menu to expand it.

  3. Navigate to User Access Control > Manage Permission.

  4. The Permission Listing page will display all permission groups.

Viewing Permission Details

Understand the Permission Listing Page

On the Permission Listing page, you will see:

  • Permission Group Name – The name of the permission template.

  • Users Assigned – The number of users assigned to the permission group.

  • Roles Assigned – The number of roles allocated within the template.

  • Last Updated Time – The most recent update to the permission group.

Explore Permission Group Actions

Each permission group has two actions available:

  • Edit – Modify the permission template name.

  • Delete – Remove the permission template (if no users are assigned).

Click on a Permission Group Name

Clicking on a permission group redirects you to a detailed page with two tabs:

Module-Wise Permission

  1. Displays all permissions linked to the institution.
  2. Permissions can be Enabled or Disabled.
  3. Use the Search option to find a specific permission.
  4. Click Save or Save & Exit after making changes.

Assigned Users

  1. Lists all users associated with the permission template.
  2. Allows modification of individual or bulk permissions.
  3. Click Add User to assign new users to the permission template.
  4. Selecting a user replaces their existing permission template with the new one.

Points to Keep in Mind

  • System default templates can only be edited, not deleted.

  • If a permission template has assigned users, it cannot be deleted.

  • Removing a user from a template requires assigning them a new permission set.
