Steps to Configure Email Sender Id

Overview

Sender ID plays a massive role in defining the institutional identity of the targeted audience. An Email Sender ID is used to identify who the sender of the Email is. It represents your brand/Institute/company name, distinguishing it from a million others. 

Step by Step Instructions

Step 1. Login to SendGrid Panel

https://app.sendgrid.com/login

Step 2. Create a New User

Generic IP Address

  • Now, scroll down to the last and click on the Create Sub user Button

Step 3. Switch to the created sub-user account

Now switch to the created Sub user, refer screenshot below

Step 4. Create API Keys

  • Access Settings.

  • Navigate to API Keys and select Create API Keys.

[Note: Copy the API key value in the Projects Coordinators Sheet as it is only available once. So, Be Careful.]

 Step 5. Mail Setting

  • Go to Settings 

  • Select Mail Settings

  • Click on Event Webhook

  • Under Mail Settings, Event Settings, put the below-mentioned URL and save it.

  1. For In1 to In4: https://services.nopaperforms.com/webhooks/v1/sendgridEmailReceiveStatus

  1. For In5: https://services.in5.nopaperforms.com/webhooks/v1/sendgridEmailReceiveStatus

Step 6. Go to Settings

  • Go to Settings 

  • Select Tracking

  • Click on Subscription Tracking

  • Replace HTML Unsubscribe Content with the below source code and enable the same

Step7. Sender Authentication

  • Go to Settings

  • Click on Sender Authentication

  • Click on Get Started

  • Then, please select I’m not sure in the DNS Host

  • Now, authenticate the required domain by entering the domain and clicking Next

  • Once you click Next, DNS Records will be generated, which need to be shared with the Institute for 

  • Once the DNS record is added/updated by the Institute, we need to verify the DNS Records

Step 8. DNS Record Verification

  • To verify DNS Records, go to Settings

  • Select Sender Authentication

  • Click on the Domain as given in the Screenshot

  • Now click on the verify button as given in the screenshot

  • Once you hit the verify button, the pending status on the above screenshot changed to verified.

Step 9. Manage Institute

  • Go to the Manage Institute.

  • Click on the Settings Gear Icon located in the top-right corner.

  • After clicking on configuration, you’ll be redirected to a new window, where you have to map the APIKEY, Email ID, and Partner.

  • You need to select SendGrid from the Select Partner dropdown in the authentication

  • And enter the API key below in the SendGrid API  After this, save and proceed further.

  • Enter the Sender Name and Sender Email in the Sender ID Config

  • Save the configuration once 

[NOTE: Same has to be done in case of Promotional Email as well]
