What is RSVP and How it Works?

Overview

RSVP ("Répondez s'il vous plaît") in Meritto CRM is a feature that helps you to capture the intent of applicants regarding a specific question or action. It is a one-time process where applicants can indicate their interest through an email response. This feature allows colleges to prioritize interested leads, improving engagement and conversions.

Core Functionalities

Understanding the RSVP Flow

RSVP is used to gauge applicants' intent by sending a structured email containing response buttons. The process follows these key steps:

  1. Identify the Target Audience

    • You must finalize the list of applicants who will receive the RSVP email.

  2. Customize the RSVP Email

    • Unlike regular email campaigns, RSVP emails contain two action buttons (e.g., “I Agree” and “Maybe Later”) to capture responses.

  3. Email Dispatch & Response Capture

    • Once the RSVP email is sent, applicants can respond by clicking one of the buttons.

    • The response is automatically recorded in the system.

  4. Thank You Page & Dashboard Redirect

    • Upon clicking a response, applicants are redirected to a non-customizable Thank You Page.

    • Clicking “Go to Dashboard” takes them back to their application portal.

  5. Viewing Responses in the Application Manager

    • You can track and manage responses via the Application Manager.

  6. One-Time Submission Rule

    • Each applicant can submit only one response.

    • If an applicant tries to submit again, they will be notified that their response is already recorded.

Benefits of RSVP Functionality

  • Streamlines Lead Prioritization: Helps you to focus on applicants with higher engagement.

  • Improves Decision-Making: Enables colleges to tailor follow-up actions based on applicant intent.

  • Enhances Applicant Experience: Provides a simple and clear way for applicants to express their interest.

  • Saves Time & Resources: Reduces manual effort by automating intent capture.

Special Business Use Cases

  • Admissions Process: Capture interest in interviews, document submissions, or fee payments.

  • Event Participation: Track attendance for webinars, orientations, or campus visits.

  • Scholarship Applications: Identify students interested in financial aid opportunities.

Conclusion

RSVP is a powerful tool that enables you to capture applicant intent efficiently. By leveraging this feature, colleges can enhance lead management, improve conversion rates, and create a more structured communication strategy.
