Activate & Deactivate a Webform (Widget)

Overview

This article guides you through the process of instantly enabling (activating) or disabling (deactivating) a configured Webform (Widget). Controlling the widget's status is crucial for managing its visibility on your external websites without having to delete the configuration entirely.

Plan & Permissions

The ability to control the status of a widget is generally included in all plans that support the Template Manager module. To perform this action, your user role must have the following required permission:

Allows the user to generate the embed code and make the configured Webform (Widget) live (enable) and available for capturing the data of leads.


You can access the Widget Management module where all your Webforms (Widgets) are listed using the following navigation path:

  • Go to Template Manager > Manage Website Widgets from the navigation menu.

Configuration Options: Activating or Deactivating a Widget

You can control the status of any configured widget directly from the listing page using the status column.

  1. Access the Page: Navigate to the Manage Website Widgets page. Here, you will see a list of all your configured Webforms (Widgets).

  2. Locate the Status Column: Find the Status column in the table. This column contains a toggle button against each widget.

  3. Initiate Toggle: Click the toggle button to change the widget's status (ON for activation, OFF for deactivation).

  4. Confirm Status Change: A confirmation pop-up will appear immediately, asking you to confirm the action (Activate or Deactivate).

  5. Finalize Change: Click the confirmation option (e.g., Yes) on the pop-up to apply the change.

Expected Outcome: The status of the Webform (Widget) updates immediately, controlling whether it is live and functioning on the external webpage where it is embedded.
