Plan & Permissions

Prerequisites:

  • Admin access to User Manager in the Meritto portal.

  • Permissions to manage Check-in & Check-out settings.

Step-by-Step Guide to Enable & Use Check-in & Check-out in Mobile App

Enable Check-in & Check-out Feature

  1. Navigate to User Manager in the Meritto portal.

  2. Click on Permissions and go to Manage Institute Permissions.

  3. Under the User Manager section, you will find the following options:

    • Check-in / Check-out – Enable this for any role to activate time-based Check-in & Check-out.

    • Location Capture while Check-in / Check-out – Enable this to track user location during Check-in & Check-out.

    • Field Force Location Tracking – Enable this for additional location tracking of field users.

  1. Save the changes to activate the feature.

Perform Check-in & Check-out in the Mobile App

Users can perform Check-in & Check-out activities from multiple screens in the app.

Visibility 1: Layover Screen on App Launch

  • When a user opens the app for the first time in a day, a layover screen appears, prompting the user to Check-in.

  • This action is optional. Users can close the layover screen by tapping the cross icon.

  • The screen also displays a motivational Thought of the Day, which changes daily.

Visibility 2: Quick Access from Navigation Menu

  • The left navigation menu displays Check-in/Check-out details.

    • Case 1: If the user is already Checked-in, the last Check-in information and a Check-out button will be shown.

  • Case 2: If the user is yet to Check-in, the last Check-out information and a Check-in button will be displayed.

  • The user’s daily working duration is shown below as a running ticker counter.

Visibility 3: View My Account Screen

  1. Tap on View My Account in the mobile app navigation.

  1. The screen displays registered details along with Attendance Information.

  1. To view past attendance records, tap on My Attendance.

  2. A calendar view opens where users can select any date to see Check-in/Check-out details.

Calendar View Screen Features

  • Each day of the month shows total hours spent in a green box below the date.

  • Users can switch between past months to view older records.

  • Clicking on a date:

    • Opens details of Check-in and Check-out times.

    • If no record exists, an empty message is displayed.

    • Users can Check-in/Check-out for the current day from this screen.

  • Color codes:

    • Green Box: Check-in/Check-out recorded for that day.

    • Gray Box with Gray Dot: No Check-in/Check-out found.

    • Gray Box with Orange Dot: Sunday (weekend). If a Check-in is recorded, it turns green.

Track User Activity

  • All Check-in & Check-out activities are logged in User Activity.

  • Admins can track any user’s Check-in/Check-out history from this section.


Points to Keep in Mind

  • Ensure Check-in & Check-out permissions are enabled for relevant roles.

  • Users should keep their location services enabled if location capture is required.

  • Attendance records can only be modified based on configured permissions.
